Mountain Report
Hey, Beast family,
Another fantastic weekend on Superstar is in the books, and we’re not calling it quits just yet. As the only ski resort in Eastern North America still standing, we’ve got our eyes firmly set on Memorial Day and offering up our trademark three-sport weekend featuring more spring skiing and riding, golf, and mountain biking in the Bike Park, which opens for the season on Friday, May 22 with lift access from the Snowshed Express.
Conditions on Superstar were perfectly spring-like all weekend long, featuring soft snow, nice coverage, and wall-to-wall moguls. Looking ahead, we’re in for some cooler weather leading into the weekend, but daytime temperatures will still climb into the high 50s and low 60s. We still do not have a closing date set for skiing & riding, and we anticipate going full steam ahead until Mother Nature puts a kibosh on things.
Trail Crew has been out getting the Bike Park ready for summer. Come Friday on opening day, we expect to have all trails on Snowshed open with the exception of Lower Jump Start and potentially a line or two in the Easy Street Progression Park. As a reminder, please stay off all bike trails until opening day on Friday, May 22nd, as riding now can damage trails and create extra work for the team. Mountain bike season is almost here!
The Killington Golf Course is now open daily, and the course is playing great for it being so early in the season. A few wet areas on fairways are present, but conditions are drying up and we expect the next couple of days to play well. Please note, our Grounds Crew will continue to work on drainage projects as we move deeper into the season. Tee times can be booked up to seven days in advance, so get your Golf Course Season Pass before the end of Thursday, May 21st to lock in the best price of the year.
Speaking of fun on the Golf Course, registration for our Michelob ULTRA Golf League is now open. Sign-ups are available for a team of 4 or as an individual, and we'll be teeing off every Thursday night from June 11 through August 27.
If you’re looking to try all three sports for yourself this coming weekend, it’s not too late to grab your own Beast 365 Pass to participate in our Beast 365 Challenge! Simply scan your Beast 365 Pass when you go out to ski/ride, mountain bike, and golf any time from May 22-25 to earn yourself a free t-shirt. After completing this Killington "triathlon", bring your Beast 365 pass with you to the Snowshed Cafeteria on May 23 or May 24 from 3:00p.m. - 5:00p.m. or on May 25 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to claim your new shirt.
