Peak Lodge
The Peak Lodge offers a one-of-a-kind mountaintop dining experience with breathtaking views, fresh mountain air, and unforgettable scenery in every season. Located at the summit of Killington Peak and accessible via the K-1 Express Gondola, it’s a must-visit destination for skiers, riders, hikers, bikers, and sightseeing guests alike.
Summer & Fall Seasons
In the warmer months, the Peak Lodge transforms into a scenic dining destination for hikers, mountain bikers, and sightseeing guests when the K-1 Gondola is running. Access the lodge via a round-trip scenic gondola ticket or through Killington’s extensive hiking and mountain biking trail network while enjoying stunning views from Vermont’s highest lift-served peak. Please note that Peak Lodge services, including dining and indoor access, are available only when the lodge is open during published operating hours.
During the summer and fall, the Peak Lodge is closed on select dates for private events.* On these days, the K-1 Patio Outdoor BBQ & Bar will remain open, while the Subie Shack at Killington Peak will offer grab-and-go snacks and beverages. Portable restrooms will also be available at the top of the K-1 Gondola.

K-1 Gondola Operations & Maintenance
This summer, the K-1 Gondola operated primarily on Friday through Sunday, shifting from last year’s Thursday through Sunday schedule to provide additional time for planned lift maintenance.
The work is part of Killington’s broader $1.3 million investment in lift maintenance projects across the resort. This summer marks the first phase of a larger, two-phase project on the K-1 Gondola, with crews completing targeted maintenance on key components, including acceleration and deceleration systems, drive and brake systems, and other reliability-focused upgrades.
Phase 2 of the project is planned for summer 2027 and will require the K-1 Gondola to be closed for the majority of the summer while more extensive work is completed. Together, these improvements are an important investment in the long-term reliability of the gondola and the guest experience for years to come. Additional details about summer 2027 operations will be shared as plans are finalized.
For this season, the K-1 Gondola will continue daily fall operations through October 12.
Winter Season
During the ski season, the Peak Lodge is the perfect place to warm up, refuel, and take in panoramic mountain views. Enjoy farm-fresh cuisine, daily specials, beer, cocktails, and seasonal offerings just steps from the slopes. Non-skiers can also visit with a round-trip scenic gondola ticket, available for purchase online. Weekends and Peak Dates can be busy, but the experience is well worth the wait.
