Drop off/Pick up: Drop off between 8:30-9:00 a.m. on the second floor in the Ramshead Lodge and pick up between 2:30-3:00 p.m. in the same location. Children should arrive for drop-off with their ski or snowboard equipment and wearing ski or snowboard boots and snow pants.

Please arrive 30 minutes in advance of lesson meeting time if you need to pick up tickets (takes about 10 minutes) and/or rentals (takes about 20 minutes).

Inspiring the Next Generation of Lifelong Skiers and Riders.

Ministars is a full-day children’s ski and snowboard lesson program open daily from early December through early/mid-April. The program welcomes all ability levels from first-time to advanced level skiers and riders.

Ministars is based out of a child-friendly indoor meeting space on the second floor of the Ramshead Base Lodge. Lessons use a variety of terrain, from beginner learning areas serviced by a covered Magic Carpets to groomed cruisers and kid-friendly gladed runs. Instruction is specifically designed for children to build skills, confidence, and excitement for skiing and snowboarding.

Lunch is included with the Ministars program. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions when purchasing the lesson. We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, kosher, and gluten-free options. All food is prepared in a shared kitchen, and cross-contamination is possible. Families with more specific dietary needs are encouraged to send their own meal.

To ensure a smooth drop-off experience, please follow the steps below:

Print One Pass RFID Cards
Upon arrival, stop at a kiosk to print your One Pass RFID cards if you do not already have them. You will need your order confirmation email and QR code. Kiosks are available outside Ramshead Lodge and next to Ministars check-in. You do not need to visit a ticket window to validate age for Ministars.
Pick Up Rentals (if needed)
If your child needs rental equipment, proceed to the Ramshead Base Lodge, second floor, and visit the rental shop directly across from the Ministars meeting area.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before lesson start time if you need to pick up lift tickets (approximately 10 minutes) and/or rentals (approximately 20 minutes).
Saturday lesson participants who reserved rentals may pick up equipment on Friday from 2:00–9:00 p.m. at Snowshed Lodge. Friday evening rental pickup is available every Friday through March X, 2026.
Arrive Ready to Ski or Ride
Children must arrive at drop-off fully equipped and ready to ski or snowboard, wearing ski or snowboard boots and snow pants. They do not need to be wearing helmets, goggles, face masks or gloves at drop off.
If your child needs space to change or put on boots and snow pants, we recommend using the third floor of the Ramshead Base Lodge.
Limit Drop-Off Traffic
To reduce congestion in drop-off and pick-up areas, we recommend one guardian per child at drop-off.

Children should arrive for drop-off with their ski or snowboard equipment and wearing ski or snowboard boots and snow pants.
Participants are required to bring their own:
- Gloves or mittens
- Snow pants
- Winter jacket
- Balaclava or neck warmer
- Goggles
If you need to purchase any of these items, visit Killington Sports in the Snowshed Base Lodge or the flagship store on Route 4.
Each participant may bring one bag, which can be stored in the Ministars Room. We recommend packing extra layers or a change of clothing.
Lunch is included. Families may send a nut-free lunch if preferred.

Cancellation Policy

Prior to 4:00 p.m. two days prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 90% refund or 100% cancellation credit. Prior to 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 100% cancellation credit. No refunds. After 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson, there are no cancellations or changes permitted since we’ve held that spot from our inventory and have assigned an instructor to teach the lesson. We know that weather and snow conditions vary, but if the resort is open for skiing/riding we will be providing lessons as scheduled and there are no refunds, vouchers, or credits issued due to these events.
