The perfect program for first time skier and snowboarders. Our instructors are dedicated to creating memorable experiences that are sure to lead to a lifetime love of skiing and riding.
Ability: first-timers and beginner level
Available: Daily, December - April
Drop off/ Pick up: Drop off at the Mountain Sports Yurt located slopeside at Ramshead Lodge by 9:00 a.m. Pick up is 3:00 p.m. at the same location.
Please arrive 30 minutes in advance of lesson meeting time if you need to pick up tickets (takes about 10 minutes) and/or rentals (takes about 20 minutes) and arrive 15 minutes early for pick up when groups start heading back in.

This program is open daily from December - April, for first-time skiers and snowboarders only. Youth Learn To Ski/Ride program meets at the Mountain Sports Yurt located slopeside at Ramshead Base Area. Lessons combine an innovative progression zone with our specialized ski and snowboard instructors, two covered Progression Carpets and teaching methods specifically designed for kids and you've got a proven learning experience to get kids exploring the mountain in no time.
Lunch is included with the Youth Learn To Ski/Ride program. Please notify us at registration time and lesson check-in if your child has any dietary restrictions. We are able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, nut free, kosher and gluten free options. Please be aware that all of our foods are made in a common kitchen, and cross contamination is a possibility. We encourage families to bring their own meals if they have specific dietary restrictions or needs outside of vegetarian requests.
Lesson Rates & Availability
All lift tickets must be loaded onto a reloadable ONE PASS, our RFID card, and are available for purchase at check out for $6 each. The ONE PASS is not transferable.

Rates include lesson, equipment rentals and a limited learning area lift ticket providing access to Snowshed and Ramshead lifts.
Cancellation Policy
Prior to 4:00 p.m. two days prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 90% refund or 100% cancellation credit. Prior to 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson date, lessons may be canceled for a 100% cancellation credit. No refunds. After 4:00 p.m. the day prior to the lesson, there are no cancellations or changes permitted since we’ve held that spot from our inventory and have assigned an instructor to teach the lesson. We know that weather and snow conditions vary, but if the resort is open for skiing/riding we will be providing lessons as scheduled and there are no refunds, vouchers, or credits issued due to these events.
