Rentals Reimagined

Renting gear is a practical and cost-effective way to participate in skiing and snowboarding. Killington Resort is proud to provide high-quality gear for those who might not be ready to purchase their own, who wish to travel light or who have just forgotten something at home. Our rentals are regularly tuned with MountainFLOW eco-wax and ready for you when you need them. For this season, we’ve made major investments to make sure our guests have the best possible rental experience.

Burton Step On®

New for this season, our entire snowboard line has been upgraded with Burton Step On® boots & bindings. We are the first resort with a Step On® fleet for adults, which represents a new level of convenience for snowboarders. Don’t waste time hassling with straps, with Step On®, it really is as easy as, "heel, toe, go". 

Gore-Tex Outerwear

Another new addition to the fleet for 2023/24 is the option to rent Gore-Tex outerwear. In partnership with Gore-Tex, high-quality pants and jackets are now available for men and women on a per-piece basis. Each garment is used just once & is then dry-cleaned before being rented out again. Outerwear is available in women’s sizes small to large and men’s up to 2XL. Don’t spend a day cold and wet if you don’t have to!

Where to Rent

Killington offers three rental shops. Those learning to ski or ride should visit Snowshed, where you’ll find our largest shop just feet from the slopes. Here you’ll be able to get set up from head-to-toe in Gore-Tex outerwear, boots, skis or snowboard, and a helmet. Just bring your own goggles and gloves or stop by the Snowshed retail shop to pick some up. The K-1 Lodge also offers equipment and outerwear rentals, as well as tuning and repairs. This location is recommended for intermediate and advanced skiers who are ready to hop on the K-1 Gondola to the peak. Those in our youth lesson programs should head directly to Ramshead Lodge to get set up with rentals. Although this shop is focused on youth lessons, we are able to set up the whole family with boots, skis and snowboards, but please note, outerwear is only available at K-1 and Snowshed.

The Rental Process

All rentals must be reserved online. It’s important to provide accurate information during this process about your height, weight and ability level so we can be sure to set you up with the appropriate gear. Once you arrive at our rental shops, the average time to get through the process is a mere 16 minutes, but this can vary depending on how busy we are. During peak periods, arrive early or come by the evening before to get set up in advance.
