Killington Resort Announces New Team Members and Internal Promotions

KILLINGTON, Vt. (September 30, 2025) – Vermont’s Killington Resort, the largest ski and snowboard resort in Eastern North America, is proud to announce the hirings of new managers in our Patrol, Terrain Parks, and Accounting teams, as well as promotions of managers in our Mountain Sports, Mountain Ops, and Food & Beverage departments.

Shawn Anderson has joined Killington Resort as our new Terrain Parks Manager. Shawn brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Killington, with a strong background in terrain and bike park operations. Most recently, he served as the Terrain Manager at Massanutten Resort, where he oversaw all aspects of terrain and bike park operations, managed budgets and payroll, and prioritized risk reduction while building and motivating his team.

Prior to that, Shawn spent over a decade at Seven Springs Mountain Resort as the Terrain Parks Supervisor, where he was responsible for leading construction and maintenance projects, coordinating across departments, and ensuring a fun yet safe experience for both guests and employees. In this role, he oversaw the development and upkeep of terrain park areas, working closely with ski patrol, snowmaking, grooming, and lift operations to deliver high-quality, innovative park experiences.

In addition to his resort leadership background, Shawn served in the U.S. Army, where he honed his skills in logistics, organization, and team management. He is passionate about creating safe, innovative, and exciting terrain park experiences and is eager to bring his expertise to Killington.

Chelsey Moore has joined Killington Resort as our new Patrol Manager. Chelsey comes to Killington with over a decade of experience in mountain operations and leadership, most recently serving as the Ski Patrol Medical Supervisor at Breckenridge Mountain Resort. In this role, she led patrol teams, managed medical operations, coordinated accident investigations, and oversaw training programs, all while fostering a strong culture of safety and teamwork.

Prior to that, Chelsey spent eight years at Okemo Mountain Resort, where she held several leadership positions, including Summer Operations Supervisor and Ski Patrol Supervisor. She has extensive experience in training, incident command, and program development.

Beyond her resort work, Chelsey has also worked with Voyageur Outward Bound and the Appalachian Mountain Club, leading outdoor expeditions and providing backcountry education. Chelsey brings strong communication skills, passion for the outdoors, and dedication to team development into this new role.

Derek Wolfe has joined Killington Resort as our new Accounting Manager. Before coming to Killington, Derek earned a B.S. in Business from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and got his first job in the ski industry at Sugarbush in 2018. During his time there, Derek held positions in tickets and auditing before working his way up to accounting manager for the past three years.

At his last job, some of the procedures he developed were recognized at Sugarbush as best practices, and he was invited to share these approaches with colleagues throughout the organization. Derek hopes to bring some of these processes along with his broad base of relevant experience to his new position, which includes working knowledge of many pieces of software used at Killington.

Originally from Selinsgrove, PA, Derek is currently a resident of Waitsfield, VT and has lived in Vermont for the past eight years. A longtime fan of springtime riding on Superstar, he is an avid snowboarder and hopes to hit 100 days on the mountain this winter.

Eric Kelley has been promoted to the role of Mountain Sports School Director. In his previous role as Mountain Sports Operations Manager, Eric demonstrated strong leadership and a deep commitment to our programs and team. In his new role, Eric will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for all Mountain Sports school programs across both Killington and Pico, spanning our winter ski/snowboard instruction and summer downhill mountain biking operations.

As he steps into this new role, we are also making some organizational changes to strengthen our team structure. First, Kyle Steinmetz is being promoted to oversee all Mountain Sports school operations at Killington. Kyle will now manage both adult and youth winter programs in addition to his current summer biking responsibilities. We are also creating a new Mountain Sports School Training Coordinator position (seasonal role) that will report to Eric and focus on instructor development and training programs. Eric and Kyle bring great energy and vision to these roles as we continue building on our reputation as one of the east coast's premier mountain sports schools.

Corey Tredtin has been promoted to a new and unique dual role within our Mountain Operations team. Corey will serve as the Night Operations Manager during the winter, overseeing and coordinating Grooming, Snowmaking, Vehicle Maintenance, and Trails, and will serve as Construction Manager in the summer, leading all on-mountain construction projects.

A Rutland native, Corey began his Killington career in 2004 as a Terrain Park Attendant. He joined the Grooming team the next winter, where he has spent the last twenty years mastering his craft and elevating the guest experience for both the local and international stage. His expertise has been widely recognized, having presented at National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) panels, several “Cutter’s Camp” forums, and assisted with building high-end venues and events across the country, such as Mount Bachelor’s Superpark in 2015, Copper Mountain’s USSA Nationals, and Snowbird’s Peace Park Championships. This summer, he has been responsible for organizing Killington’s work on the new Superstar Six, liaising with Doppelmayr and other vendors while also managing several large snowmaking pipe projects across the mountain and prepping for other upcoming capital projects.

Corey has developed an unmatched knowledge of Killington’s terrain, infrastructure, and operations. This makes him uniquely qualified to serve as a vital link between day and night operations—ensuring clear communication, smooth coordination, and effective responses to the many challenges that can arise after hours.

Summer Guido has been promoted to Executive Chef of the Peak Lodge. After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Atlanta with a 4.0 GPA, Summer joined Vail Resorts for their 2-year culinary program. Following some work at country clubs and summer camps, Summer landed at Killington as a cook at Preston’s in 2018 and had been Executive Sous Chef at the Peak Lodge since 2023.

During her time at the Peak Lodge, she is most proud of the evolution of the ramen station, a relatively newfound staple during the wintertime. Her creativity and passion have shaped Killington’s menus, where she has brought in specials shaped by her Latin and Southern roots. She will continue to have a hand in creating new menus for summer, winter, and our banquet staff in this new position.

Summer has been the heart of every kitchen she is in over the last few years. Out of the kitchen, you can find her out reading on her paddleboard or fishing during the summer. In her workplace, her leadership has helped form a team that works hard, supports one another, and delivers an incredible experience for guests.
